Thomas K. Herron, Founder / Executive Director
After more than 35 years in marketing, advertising, public relations and political consulting, Herron founded Up With America in 2007 after becoming alarmed at the failure of his “boomer” generation to, as he puts it, “pick up the torch passed on to us by the Greatest Generation.” He describes his father, a WWII pilot who flew 67 missions “Jumping the Hump” over the Himalayas in the Pacific Theater, as the prototypical American Patriot – a man of high moral standards and family values who always had his priorities in order. It is to his memory, and that of his late wife Jaci who played a key role in developing the entire concept, that Herron dedicates Up With America.
